| Riding Ability: | We recommend beginner riders start with a Half Day Coaching Tour as offroad riding is a physical activity. We have questions on our booking form to help integrate groups for multi day offroad tours and the tour guides will select trails to suit the enjoyment of the group. |
| Motorcycle Licence: | Is not required for Offroad Motorcycle & Quad Bike Tours. |
| Motorcycle Licence: | Required for Dualsport Adventure Ride Tours. Motorcycle licences from other countries are accepted in New Zealand. |
| Bring Your Own Bike: | Yes if it has a 94 decibel spark arrestor muffler, new knobbly tyres and has been serviced. You will require your own bum bag tool kit and riding spares. |
| Motorcycle or Quad Bike Selection: | For beginner, novice riders it is important the bike fits the rider. Choose a motorcycle you can comfortably put your feet on the ground when seated. New Zealand terrain is hilly and rugged so a smaller, lighter motorcycle is best. |
| Condition Of Hire Motorcycles & Quad Bikes: | A maintenance and servicing programme is carried out. |
| Tyres | A new rear tyre will be fitted at the start of all 5 Day Tours. |
| Insurance Excess Bond: | The NZ$1,500 insurance bond is paid at the start of the tour and is fully refunded to the client at the end of the tour when the protective clothing, motorcycle or quad bike has no damage or when payment is made for damage payment is made for damage which is less than NZ$1,500. |
| Protective Riding Gear, Motorcycle Quad Bike Damage Resposibility: | It is the responsibility of the hirer as agreed in the terms and conditions to make payment for repair. |
| Flat Tyres: | The tour guide will repair flat tyres and there is no charge for this. |
| Accommodation: | We use tourist standard accommodation such as Farm Stays, Boutique B & B’s, Ski lodges, Historic Hotels and Motels. |
| Fuel & Oil: | If bringing your own bike ensure it has a full tank of fuel at the start of the tour and bring your own 2 stroke oil. We provide 95 octane fuel. |
| Protective Riding Gear: | Supplied with bike hire and includes helmet, goggles, gloves, enduro jacket, mx trousers, elbow & knee pad’s plus boots. |
| What Should I Bring: |
Day Tours a camera, x2 pairs of thick socks, camel back hydration back pack, thermal clothing top & bottom [winter], spare shirt. Multi Day Tours, small overnight bag with spare clothing, toiletries, x4 pairs woollen socks and x2 thermal clothing top & bottoms. Riding in snow in winter. |
| Where Do We Ride: | Adventure Trailrides has access to private farm land and is focused on maintaining a sustainable recreation. |
| Passing through Customs: | Ensure your riding gear has been thoroughly cleaned since your last ride. |
